After the cross everything was transformed, including perspectives on suffering. When we fail in our wilderness trials, we can point to Jesus' success in His. His victories are ours through faith, so His story becomes our own when we trust Him. Joy is not the opposite of suffering. It is deeper than suffering. Suffering is the relentless rain.
